Stephen Hedges joined the then firm TH Walker & Co in 1984 and in 1986 became a founding partner in the firm that is now Walker Hedges Forestville. Stephen has remained continuously as a partner and/or the principal of the firm Walker Hedges Forestville since 1986 and in that time has gained wide experience and expertise in the following areas of law:-

Through his many years of practice Stephen has developed a strongly based commercial law practice which has led to him being appointed by several overseas companies to act as their general counsel working not just on matters within Australia but international matters particularly contract-based. In the course of acting for these international companies Stephen has travelled extensively throughout eastern Asia for the purpose of negotiating and drafting commercial contracts particularly in China and Taiwan and in addition has travelled to and acted in numerous commercial matters in the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
Stephen’s expertise in commercial litigation has led to him building up a significant practice of commercial litigation in the superior courts involving him acting in matters in the Supreme Court of NSW, Supreme Court of NSW Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia which resulted in a significant victory for his client in a commercial dispute against the Government of the State of NSW.
